Climate Finance for Cities and Buildings - A Handbook for Local Governments
UNEP’s new publication "Climate Finance for Cities and Buildings: A Handbook for Local Governments" aims to help raise awareness among local stakeholders regarding the challenges and opportunities for climate finance in the urban environment. The lead authors of this UNEP Handbook are from ENERGIES 2050, a non-profit NGO working at both the local and global level, to realize and share best practice from the transition towards a sustainable energy future. Here we discuss the key role that cities have to play in mitigating climate change and why climate finance can be an important enabler for such activities at the local level.
