Motril: XXI Century Light Plan
In 2007, Motril began to implement the ‘XXI Century Light Plan’ to modernise the city’s lighting with the aim of reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions while simultaneously preserving aesthetic design. They were looking for a solution using white light and GE was well positioned to meet their needs with an offering of cost effective high efficiency luminaires.
During the same period, Motril installed a revolutionary energy saving system that reduced the voltage used by the lamps without affecting light quality allowing total energy savings of up to 45% to be achieved in some parts of the city.
