One Planet Mobility European Cities Initiative
As a contribution to WWF’s commitment to tackle climate change, the
vision of the One Planet Mobility European Cities initiative is to
decarbonise personal mobility in the urban context and thereby
contribute to the necessary overall carbon reduction targets in the EU of
approximately 95% by 2050.
In order to achieve these
ambitious targets, the aim is to
drive long-term systemic
change in European cities and
develop a new model of
mobility that combines
radically reduced car
dependency and increased
quality of life.
The initiative is led by WWF-UK and involves working in partnership with
WWF offices and partner cities across Europe starting in Barcelona
(Spain), Freiburg (Germany), Malmö (Sweden).
