LJUBLJANA, Slovenia Energy improvements in social housing
The Municipality of Ljubljana, through its Public Housing Fund, is implementing an energy efficiency programme to renovate existing public housing and construct new buildings. The goal is to consistently reduce management and consumption costs of public social housing, by using high standards, to reduce environmental impact (increasing energy savings, greenhouse gas emissions reduction) and to reduce costs for occupants that usually have a low social background – so responding from an energy security perspective.
