Carbon sensitive urban water features
Water, energy, greenhouse gas emissions and climate change are interlinked through a series of relationships. This document seeks to respond to and further develop the concepts, opportunities, and agendas needed to drive more energy and carbon sensitive water management from a European perspective. Findings in this document illustrate that the water supply and wastewater industries throughout Europe are significant consumers of energy and emitters of greenhouse gases but have ambitions to make emissions reductions of 20% by 2020 and 80% by 2050.
